About CQDeck
CQDeck helps new and returning hams get on the air, and gives every ham a daily home page that knows their license. It's free, it's non-profit, and we're building for US hams first, with the rest of the world to follow.
Our story
CQDeck started with a ham who passed the Technician exam, made a handful of contacts, and then went quiet for more than a year. Getting back on the air meant relearning it all alone: which bands, which privileges, which words to say first. This is the tool that was missing.
What's here now
- Key Up lets you practice a contact with a simulated station before you transmit for real.
- The Refresher checks your license and shows you what's changed since you were last active.
- Today shows bands, sun, satellites and parks, filtered to what your license allows.
- The tuning dial on the home page shows what you can do at any frequency.

You can sign in to keep your station settings and welcome-back plan progress on every device. Coming next are alerts, a guided first 30 days with radio setup guides, and exam study.
How it's funded
CQDeck is free, and it will stay free. We're setting it up as a non-profit, and before launch this page will explain how costs are covered. We never sell your data.
